Funding for (Networking) Projects by Teams of Doctoral Candidates and Postdocs

If you are already in your first year as a doctoral candidate and have an idea for a project to support your dissertation project in 2012 that you would like to carry out jointly with other doctoral candidates or postdocs, we are looking forward to your application! It is only possible to receive funding for conferences scheduled for the fiscal year 2012.

Target Group
Teams of at least two doctoral candidates or doctoral candidates and first-year postdocs who are not participating in a structured doctoral program can submit
an application to the IGA and HPSL to receive funding for a joint project within the context of this funding line.

Application Deadline: 30 June 2012

Preference will be given to projects that promote and support the following:

· team building,
· networking,
· integration of international doctoral candidates,
· collaboration with Eucor partner universities,
· interdisciplinarity,
· aspects of gender,
· reaching a large group of doctoral students,
· creating structures with an impact beyond the project
itself,
· making a contribution to the visibility of activities by junior researchers at the ALU/IGA

Please submit the following documents to apply:

1. brief motivational text or cover letter (ca. one page)
2. curriculum vitae (incl. publication list, scholarships,
awards)
3. university diploma
4. evidence of the above-average achievement level of the
applicants (e.g., written testimony from dissertation
supervisor or evidence of prizes, scholarships,
publications)
5. outline of project, which should have a max. length of 5 pages (incl. budget plan) and should illustrate, if applicable, how the project will create structures that
will have an impact beyond the project itself.
